Cleanning and oiling some parts. You can have dry oil that is preventing the watch to run correctly. Some times the coils also get damage and need to be replace. A service will check all that, opening, cleanning, checking volts and other tests that can help to identify issues in the movement.

Well,
The 30235MY is not the correct battery for this movement.
According to the parts catalog it takes a 3023 24X, so the battery I had was the correct one.
Putting the 3023 24X back in, I went through some of the diagnostics in the parts manual.
I'm guessing the battery wasn't making good contact before as it's working much better now.
In 200 shakes, the voltage of the battery went up nearly a full volt.
Doing a bit more shaking and it's single stepping. It's never done that before after a shake.
