Don't swap the movement. It is probably a simple fix

Noob fiddy's are getting more and more rare these days & values are increasing accordingly. They remain the best rep version of the 127.

Needs to be fixed.
If parts are required, you can buy an ST3600 and use it for replacement parts.
I'm all for using swiss unitas / eta in builds, but any change to that movement would just ruin the watch, turning into a random 127 franken.

Genoint made me chuckle with the comment regarding high beat required for it to be a proper watch....
Also, if he can get ETA 6497-2 for us even at 500 euros / caliber, i would gladly purchase a few.

I didn’t say anything about ETA actually. I was speaking about Asian movements. And also I was talking in terms of keeping the PAM127 as close to the real thing as possible. The OPXI beats at 21600, a 6497-1 beats at 18000.

6497 - 18.000 (44-50 hours power reserve )
6497-1 - 18.800 ( 51-54 hours power reserve )
6498-2 - 21.600 ( 56-62 hours power reserve ) . 6497-2 is almost impossible to get

The only better feature that you get with ST3600 is power reserve.
Zenith 23.0 , Zenith 23.1 and Omega 960 are top movements if you aim for performance and accuracy.

ST3600 is just an afforable option, the higher beat doesn't play a major role, and the swan neck is just there as a decoration, doesn't come near the elasticity of a properly made swan neck. That single component, properly made, would cost more than the entire ST3600.

OP XI has a ton of high end components and materials used. Even the OP II is capable of being stable at +0.2s/day over the course of years.
