Recommendation for leather strap for vintage rolex divers...

Post by calvinktlim »

I have a few vintage rolex divers and their homages... I usually wear them on a nato but ive seen some of you put them on a rustic leather strap with miminal stitching (not sure if its a style of those times) and it looks great...

May i know if any of you use a leather strap with your vintage subs and what styles are they?

Finally, where do you source these straps (loads of panerai style strap makers here but i seldom see these rustic straps being made or offered for sale...)

I have a vintage Doctors bag that makes some unbelievable straps. Have a look, the finished product is on page 3. I've made many styles with the bag, but the minimal really is the best.

What do you mean by rustic strap? Buy a strap and some sand paper and rough up the leather.

Or buy a strap with leather that will age with use and just wear it. To be honest. Some want the used aged look right away and not willing to wait.

Strap on my current watch is 3 years old. Old school guys rarely swap out their straps
