Actually I continue to check the news on the situation in Ukraine but there isn't much update (hopefully means russia is not making any progress).
Also continue to worry for our Dmitry since he is still in there. Hope to receive occasional updates...

Re: General discussion is belkin12 ok
Hello gentlemen.
Just would like to give a little update about the situation.
I'm in Kyiv, sharing my time between my job and volunteering. Lots of work available here - Kyiv region suffered greatly from the aggression. Yes, this terrible war continues with no end in sight. At the same time the country is coming back to life after the shock, step by step, arranging all the possible processes. Some people have to fight for victory, some have to work for victory. No exceptions. It's really hard. In addition to fighting on the front lines the enemy is methodically destroying people, critical infrastructure, agriculture, roads, bridges, factories, schools, high-rise buildings throughout the country.
During May and June it was more or less quite in Kyiv except multiple air raid alarms, but early morning on June, 26th the whole city woke up due to 4 extremely loud and destructive explosions caused by russian Caliber missiles. All 4 struck about 500-700m from my house. As I mentioned already there's a webcam watching outside my daughter's room. This time it recordered the missiles flying by the house and striking in a couple of seconds. That was really loud and frightening.
There is an update regarding the girls as well. In June they moved from Lithuania to the UK following the UK Government initiative Homes for Ukraine. The point is that any British citizen can offer any Ukrainian for free a spare room or home for at least 6 months. We met a wonderful family in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire who kindly welcomed to share their house with the girls. It's a huge help and timely opportunity for us since they don't have to pay rent for at least 6 months. Besides, my daughter will be able to attend local school and hopefully will find new friends - it's very important at her age. Such support cannot be overestimated.
Also, taking into acount that relations between Lithuania and Russia are now extremely tense and nobody knows what it all may lead to, I believe we made a right move in terms of safety.
Peace to all

So good to hear from you, thanks for the update. Happy to hear your girls are safely in the UK, that’s wonderful news! As for the situation in the Ukraine, I have no words. My heart breaks every day, and I hope the western governments don’t let time and people’s wandering attention span let their focus deviate from bringing that evil fascist invader to his knees.
