Hi,
I was curious to see the differences between the Panerai Luminor Logo Pre Vendome Ref. 5218-201/A and the 6218-209. To me both look identically [emoji85][emoji2369]
I asked José (Perezcope) and here is his answer:
„Hey, the 201 was made by Guenat SA Montres Valgine, the 209 by Coro Slr in Italy. Logically, everything is slightly different. The biggest difference is probably the case which can best be seen by comparing the lugs in profile. The movement has different engravings and the balance cook has a microregulator lever on the latter.“
Despite this it’s very hard to see the differences.
The only difference that can be seen is the prices of course since only 12 pieces of the 5218-209 models were ever made.
Anyway, I just wanted to share this piece of information to you either.
Please find below 3 pics btw. both watches:

Aside from the obvious difference in case and CG, the 209 also lacks the lacquer layer on top of the indices, thus being closer to Pre-As.

Besides the mentioned, another obvious difference is the CG: 201 has a thicker one.
And as Mir36 has correctly noticed, no lacquer = no non-matching issues.

Also, 201a CG has brushed finish, as 209 CG has more shiny finish (if I can see clearly from the pics above)Belkin12 wrote:Besides the mentioned, another obvious difference is the CG: 201 has a thicker one.

Here is an article where you can clearly see that 209 CG has shiny finish:pam_azsa wrote:Also, 201a CG has brushed finish, as 209 CG has more shiny finish (if I can see clearly from the pics above)Belkin12 wrote:Besides the mentioned, another obvious difference is the CG: 201 has a thicker one.
