Originally when I fixed the hairspring and reassembled it ticked for the three winds I gave it and then settled down to a stop. I figured that was it and the spring was out of wind.

As per your advice, I set the balance to half past one and it kicked back in, perfectly smooth! Apparently there was a lot more wind left in the spring. I forgot how long it takes to carefully release the power on an 8 day, Almost got a hand cramp  I didn’t check it on the timegrapher, but with slo-mo macro video it looks to be perfectly healthy with high amplitude and no wobble!

Thanks again Yoda!

Hi Yoda,

Any updates ?

Thanks
Will be the coming week. It appears that I am coming home Thursday next week, hopefully. I have been at the hospital for six weeks now and I am pretty worn.
It has been the "long walk" since 2011 when my cancer presented itself.
I have had severe ups and downs since then and I have somehow developed a procrastination problem which some of you are aware of. Sorry about that.
Hi Michael,

Any updates regarding this topic?
