My newly built 6152/1

Post by hohyern »

I have recently finished my 6152/1 build. Following is the parts list
Case: Ali
Dial: River
MVMT: Unitas 6498
Strap: ali GPF buckle strap
Hands: River

I have used Tamiya weathering master on the dial to simulate patina in the center of the dial, brown acrylic paint mixed with water to age the lume. I have also aged the hands with vinegar. the dial feet had to be cut and welded on new feet to accommodate for the 6498 movement. I have aged the case and crystal with 1200 grit to simulate a worn look. For a build that cost me roughly 250 bucks, I am very happy with it. I know the case has to be shaped further to look original, but I left it alone as it didn't bother me much.

I would love to hear what you guys think about it! I am open to critical comments!

Thank you for the info about how you have so economically aged the dial and hands.
The results look great. Hope you get some good wrist-time with it!
