Forum font size

Post by p0pperini »

I'm posting this here as I couldn't find a "suggestion box" section.

I know watch people wear a loupe permanently and that's how they can see miniscule things, but it seems an inconvenience when it comes to reading the text on this forum. I searched in vain for the option to increase the font size (possibly because it's there but too small for me to see...).

Is there any chance that the option to choose the forum font size could be added at some point? I find it actually makes my eyes water reading the posts here - particularly on an iPad, which is what I spend my evenings using as a browsing device, while my other half watches programmes about people buying houses or cooking.

BTW, I know one can zoom in and out using Ctrl-mousewheel on the PC or pinch-zooming on iThings, but there's plenty of times (particularly on the latter devices) where that doesn't work well.

Are you using safari? I’ll have to test on that platform.

I’m on safari on my iPhone... and past the age so I need reading glasses.

Meanwhile...as we try to sort this out and see if there is a solution....

I’m in Firefox and have actually been noticing the same things myself. Maybe the default font can be bumped up on the backend.

Sorry, I should have mentioned what browsers I'm using. On iPad I'm using Safari and Chrome. On PC I use Chrome.

The font size I'm seeing right now while typing this in the "Quick Reply" field is pretty large (equivalent of, say, 14pt or more), but then when it gets to the posted messages, it's tiny (like 8pt or thereabouts).

I agree, on my 27" Mac monitor it looks to be 8-10pt while reading threads.

It's going to be "use the loupe", isn't it...

I'm all in for the bigger font! ... even the colors ... on the dark gray screen setting .. sometimes the username is dark red and is almost impossible to read

I'd rather use the dark screen setting because it wastes less battery on my laptop
