Yoda wrote: April 18th, 2020, 2:34 pm Shipping confirmed, a box with SW SF240 parts from a country in Scandinavia! I already had a box with KW parts, but that will not take me far as long as I am not repairing travel clocks. Good to have though..

The scenario is as follows: a complete set of parts, screws, bridges, train wheels and balance, barrel, main spring, springs, pinions, setting parts, stem…beep..

Plan is: Esdee WL case finished by Elias especially for me, thanks Elias and Esdee!, Gunny strap with a buckle from Elias, probably an early Southy dial, gen Angelus hands. Did I forget something?

Assembling NOS parts for the first time in around 70 years, I will wake them up and create a completely new watch less used than what Arnold and Sly are wearing, and for a few bucks less than what these guys paid, but so much more special. Have a cigar!
Congrats! a well deserved project

Firing up one when the parcel is here! That one looks good Emilio! Nicaragua, right? I prefer cigars from the Dominican republic before Cuban cigars these days, the cubans grow the plants in their backyards these days and they do not taste as they did back then. Confirmed by a well known dealer here in Stockholm.
I have to agree with you hermano cigars from DR are great La Aurora are my favorite cheap cigar then you have other Arturo Fuente Image

no sorcery, it is an easy job.

I take some Adrian hands or simular ones, suck them into acceton that the lume comes off.
I drilled a hole inside a wood plate, that the tube fit inside and the hand lying flat on the wood, tight inside. than I use only the dremel with a soft polishing bit and a little polish paste. I let it run slow and polishing the hands till they start to shine. afterwards I clean them and start polishing by hands with capecod. cleaning again and done, sounds ruff to use the dremel but it works very well. for the CP dummy I took a little
ss screw,1.2mm sand it to 1.1 mm and polished the thread side very well, cut it to length and press inside the minute hand. the last step using swiss C3 luminovo and lume each hand. after drying, I clean everything once with woman make up cotton. now they are finish for use.
