Only silix uses springbars on the 3646, right!?
Thank you @PAM_BOY . The builder who deserves the credit is @Tanukjaju . I think you are correct re Silix - that is the only case I have seen which allows straps to be swapped into the case without sewing in the strap. But others might know better than me.

I think River offered also a 3646 midcase with spring bars
