Got your old strap and it’s been 7 years. Is there any way to remove or lighters up the patina? It’s getting so dark at the lug sides.

I'm glad it is still "alive" and that you're still wearing it! I can not see the best what was the color of the strap, brown or brighter?
But anyway I think as it is old patina there is no "cure"....

Yes still great, just needs softening lotion but afraid will make it more darker

It is likes an old man now, wrinkle and darker. I got it with the watch from Harryhorse, 4/5 years ago that time the ends still yellowish brown, now kind of reddish just near lugs dark chocolate.

Thanks Mel, good thing also it still fit nicely over the david case lug width without gap eventhough already shrunk.

I think I know which leather it is ... it's a soft leather and it deformed after use and human sweat during long period of time! It loses the factory impregnation layer over time, and you have already rubbed it with lotion .... the end
To old leather you need to use hydrating hand creams, never greasy or worse oil! This further complicates the situation! You can try to wash the strap with baby soap in lukewarm distilled water! Immediately dry it out with an old towel, do not put it on the sun to dry!!!!! When it is well dried (minimum 24h), applied some mild hydrating cream (it is not important the brand of cream, ask in pharmacy or stores what is best ... women are experts for these things)! There is no guarantee that it will be better, the leather is natural and very porous material, so the results are always different! But it's worth a try if the current state disturbs you!
