Hey J, great thread.
I stopped down at the Calgary Humane Society today and made a donation. Tried to get a cool picture, but far to many reflections and the cat didn't like the 201/a.

Good reminder to donate again - I'll choose another place for a little extra help at the end of the year. I know it's been tough down here with folks having to really cut back on expenses and many of the usual donors holding on to their money these days. When I can, I try to participate in the "giving days" that are sponsored a few times per year, and back in September I had my $52.50 matched for $105 to DFW Humane Society. I'll see what small shelters are in need this time...

Great - Thank you for this! I just donated 20€ to a local animal shelter.
Big thumbs up on getting animals from shelters!
Our two dogs came from very bad places, the girl is a former stray from hungary who wouldn’t let a man touch her without screaming and the boy had been with a severe alcoholic who tried to make him a guard dog by breaking him with cruelty... he was so irrationally agressive that no one was able to touch him and he already had his appointment for euthanasia three days from when I decided to give him a six month probation in our family. It’s been three years now and both turned out to be the most gentle family dogs. Welcoming to our guests, calm around children and very hairy on the couch
Knowing you guys are out there doing these things eases my soul

Here is my review of the 50mm Aragon, in case the winner prefers that over the Ball. The 44 is the same except smaller. I should mention, it will come with lug adapters so you can outfit it with whatever you like
