Like mine, only that it is a Horotec and the price was much higher than the ones from other parts of the world.

I also have this spring loaded tool ... from a lower priced place

I'm trying to find a combo of what works for others and try out some techniques/tools. Especially removing and reinstalling tiny chrono hands.

Hand setting tools (from cheap to pricey ones), manual hand setters, rodico on a toothpick to grab the hands, etc. How much pressure to apply.

For chrono hands, I use just the plastic tip from the spring loaded tool. The tip that is solid and you would use for a second hand. I place a small ball of rodico on the tip and get the chrono hand in the perfect spot. You can get very precise with the placement of the chrono hands. You normally have to be because of the reset "dial" tick alignment.

Use magnification and set the hand on pin. You will feel the hand set. Sometime a little bit of rodico gets stuck in the top hold of chrono hand. Just get a clean piece and press down on it. It normally releases.

I bought a pair of chrono specific hand removers. They a small and thin. Work well. I am always afraid of scratching the dial and use bergeon dial protectors.

so much for high quality Dumont/Weck stainless steel .... I used the compass test (someone posted a video) ... and the compass moves all over the place. I test one of my 240 builds, and the same thing.

I guess time to get some type of demagnetizer
