This one is a rare piece, so I think we took the liberty to make the thread a discussion corner for the watch. May be it deserves another thread for itseĺf, you're right Image

I have one on my wrist right now (bought from AliX). The crown is screw down.

The bezel is a tight compression fit (not threaded). I only found this out because I messed up the keyless, and had to replace the movement. I've still not sorted it out, but I assume the stem is too short because it continues to wind when you tighten the crown - and when I tried a very slightly longer stem, I think that put the keyless out of kilter.

And yes, I had to replace the movement because I couldn't remove it from the back of the case. In frustration, after bits of movement started flying everywhere, I found out it is a front loader. Or, to put it another way - assuming the whole watch was destined for the bin, I pressed on the movement very hard, the bezel came off, and the dial/movement was free to come out. For me, that isn't ideal - because the compression fit of the bezel is very tight, and since re-assembling with the new movement - there is a tiny spec of dust inside the crystal. I will gladly be advised otherwise, but I can't see a way to remove the bezel without either risking another movement by pushing hard on the back of the movement to force the bezel out, or trying to slide a case opening pry/knife under the bezel - and risk gouging the case.

The lume isn't great, especially on the hands. If I do ever get it apart again, I would re-lume. The dial is a simple two piece. Interestingly, it was secured to the movement with tabs, but also an abundance of dial adhesive strips.

I hope that makes sense! I do love the watch though, even though I can't see that Panerai ever made anything remotely similar (would loved to be proved wrong!). The edges of the lugs are quite square and sharp, so they could do with some filing/rounding. With a 24 mm strap from our friend Vesire, it has been on my wrist for the last few weeks.
Someone said the crown was not screw down in AliX version. But it's 45 not 47mm either. It's good to hear it's screw down though

I was thinking both rounding the lugs first, and maybe replacing them with larger and more correct ones. For the second option, one should ask oneself if it's worth the effort since it's really a delicate deed for the inexperienced, which is me in that case
