I like this very much. Im wondering if we can add a chamfer to the lugs ala seamaster to reduce its bulk slightly...

Just for the sake of it, I suggest the following:

We get a base watch, complete, from a factory; get some engraved brass dials and/or hands from this forum ([mention]Belkin12[/mention] , [mention]pvirus[/mention], etc) and then we get them finished by members of this forum ([mention]norskguru88[/mention], myself, etc).

Users could either mount the dial/hands by themselves or send it to a builder of the forum.

I offer free paint jobs for these hypothetical dials.

that sounds good so far, the most important thing is the case, the design and who can make it. as I see it to get a dial,hands would be easy cos we have a lot talented dial maker here as you already mentioned. the case and design is the biggest problem now

Yes, that's why I think getting a complete ready to buy watch from a factory would be easier.

Yes, that's why I think getting a complete ready to buy watch from a factory would be easier.
