1 din to 2 din conversion for my car audio system.

Made the top from scratch with dense foam, fiberglass and automotive putty.

Looks good, will it be fitted on the dashboard or in between the front seats?
It will replace this top part of center console / dash

The old 1din will be removed and the hanging mic cable too (finally)

The logical answer.

It made me think that you were planning to install a screen in the top slot!?
Yes, something like this. With GPS, internet access, etc. I will use it mainly to see my phone notifications without touching it and the navigation system. Image

Yoda wrote: July 11th, 2020, 9:00 am Started working on these boards a long time ago, four sets consisting of twelve boards of Douglas wood.
Cut, sanded, three layers of clear coat for boats, lots of stainless screws to keep the boards in place. Stored the boards for two years to make sure that they were flat and had stopped sweating.
I am restoring four garden chairs from around 1963, made from round feather steel. Tossed the old wooden parts, bought new screws and had the feather frame blasted before painting it, nice to sit in and remember times past.

The factory is Grythyttan, they have been in business for around a hundred years.
Wonderful and timeless design. Well done! Image
