Yoda wrote:Started working on these boards a long time ago, four sets each consisting of twelve boards of Douglas wood.
Cut, sanded, three layers of clear coat for boats, lots of stainless screws to keep the boards in place. Stored the boards for two years to make sure that they were flat and had stopped sweating.
I am restoring four garden chairs from around 1963, made from round feather steel. Tossed the old wooden parts, bought new screws and had the feather frame blasted before painting it, nice to sit in and remember times past.

I'd use the old wood. I love restoring the old wood. Old wood. Ol'dwood. Allwood. Elwood... this goes on like so

Very nice looking. I finished a french polishing session on a couple of chairs, and on a box like sitting stand. This is relaxing.

Yes, the Baltic sea is visible from the upper floor.
Only can imagine in a dream the cool forest breath and Baltic Sea... where I live, is grey concrete heated up to 45 at the moment.
Comfortable 22 C degrees here now, sitting on the porch with a glass of wine ..
You lucky old man. I envy you
