What filling technique and material did you use ?
Thanks.

I used epoxy resin. Going through in small batches.
First, I warmed the dial surface from the back with a torch (on low setting)
Doing one or two indexes at a time. To avoid problems or bubbles.
Hit it again with the torch to pop up the few remaining bubbles.
Voila!

What is the effect of pre-heating? Less bubbles? :think:
The indices appear slightly convex on the picture. Is this the case or is it just a light reflection?
What resin do you use?

Preheating allows an easier application because the resin runs smoother which is good for getting flatter indexes and less air bubbles.

I think what you see is an optical illusion. The resin is sitting flush with the surface.
