I'm taking a guess here that Dean goes from a foster dog owner to a full time owner. I can see Dean growing on the dog and the dog is growing on him.
Hard to see in the first photo of Finnigan, but he had part of his tail cut off too because of the accident. (Not sure if it happened in the accident or after in clean up at the vets. ) This poor pup had to be in a fair bit of pain.
They still have him on pain medication and he still has to wear the cone to prevent him from licking the stitches on his front leg.
