Re: The perpetual wrist shot thread
A build for my lil’ girl Amy, since 2017 which has taken/grown out of many iterations of refinement. Still a lot to get done. This sure looks like a build forever to me (A build thread is being drafted as we speak). You see, you’re never fully satisfied when you try to build something so special for an even more special person for them to use after your time is up, to show them the different times of your life- the adventure, the ups and the downs- that one helluva ride you took.
Ingredients (current):
- 45mm getat rad case very mildly aged.
- Ross 36.8mm dial with custom engraving painted and lumed by me
- Belkin12’s amazingly clean and serviced 3601 molly with the engravings filled by me.
- River thin double pencil molly hands bent to look like the wings of a gullwing and lumed by me
- Athaya mini fiddy DCB with custom engravings mildly aged.
- Sternkreuz N 368 on top and Sternkreuz N 334 on the DCB
- Added an additional o-ring inside the crown for more water sealing.
- Silicone treated/filled at potential leak sites. I took the leap of faith and dunked the watch into a bucket of water and left it there for about 15minutes. There were no signs of water penetration found.
- Custom 2 piece box made by me (need to update the decals again as the heart is a molly now
)
- Currently on a simple leather strap from the bay with a GPF buckle. A new strap is on the list of ‘to be done’ now.
