Yes, the E38. I have always loved these curves and the engine isn't making it worse.tafari wrote: ↑November 21st, 2020, 3:24 pmwow is it the bmw E38 750ial? a fantastic car, I love that design a lot and V12 engine a dreamYoda wrote:My AUDI is only two years away from not being looked at anymore, my motorcycle is out of the loop since years, my BMW 750 ial 750 V12 will run for a couple years more before she is vintage.
The only issue was that the previous owner didn't realise that a car need service and so on, so it was a steal at $7500...
Rebuilt the engine last winter and she is humming now.

I still remember, you can let the engine run and stand a 5 D-Mark coin on the engine and it won’t fall

Re: What are you working on now?
The problem is that the car is not insured so you cant drive it ?You have to get the car inspected first then get it insured ?
Here in Greece if the car is new there is no inspection for 4 years ,you do it every 2 years after wards but you have to have emissions inspection every year. The insurance company does not care if the car has past inspection or not but for the last 8 years its a crime to drive with out insurance, you only got a penalty fine before that. If you are caught without an inspection you have a 400 euro fine but it will be reduced to 50 euros if you inspect the car with in 10 days.No emission inspection is 100 euros fine which you cant reduce.
To get inspected you can go to government inspection point or private authorized inspection points.
Got carried away and forgot to ask is the car ok with out problems ? Probably the electrics might need a boost from not moving for so long! Its a classic car have fun with it. A 1988 325is was my first ever car when i was student in the US.

It's similar here in Spain but the main difference is that there are only "authorized inspection points" not "government inspection points"
