I hope she loves it. I’m in it $500 already in hardware alone! So handmade this year doesn’t mean cheaper.

how it is produced? what kind of hardware is needed?
as I understood it , you buy the plans, print it and start with a saw and cut all the pieces and put them together.

he got a watch too, I thought maybe I could build together with my nephew....

So there is a bunch of specific hardware sizes, stainless steel, aluminum, and brass tubing and rods, bearings, rod ends, spacers etc. I ordered all of the parts from McMaster-Carr. Maybe could have spent a little less but the part numbers matched up to his plans and it was shipped to my house the next day.
Derek Hugger creates some amazing plans. I have Zybach clock as well.

The sample downloads you can get on his website are the first few pages of the plans. They include the hardware required so you can look at what you will need prior to purchase which is nice.
