The stainless insert might give you an Angelus dial style look, meaning shallow lume depth. Although you should use resin to fill the cutouts in that case I suppose.

The inserts are flush with the dial, I doubt that resin and stuff will be good.
I don't care much about lume either, I am asleep if it is dark.

I do have a few Angelus dials, not painted and lumed yet. My ultimate Angelus build would most likely be a no seconds build as I don't like the extended seconds tube, too much hassle to my taste.

A very thin 3646 case, high Southy bezel and fat caseback would probably be a suitable home for a plain Unitas/ETA 6497/6498. Plans, but no time.

It's not tricky, but most movements do not have a long seconds pin and that is why I don't like it for myself.
