Hmmmmm. Doesn’t sound like a watch forum post.
It's been a week now. Has your Pearnis healed? ... Ermm, I mean... Any modifications done already? I am wearing my Parnis 44mm pilot today, and it keeps better time than a few watches worth 500x that. This weekend, I'll disassemble it to see what I can do to vintagize it.
Pics of what you got please.

The surgery is pretty extensive so it might be still a while.

Notice how in the second picture, you see the movement being a little beat up and scarred? That's how it came. I didn't touch it yet. I mean, not that it's going to be better after I uncase it, but for someone who's anal retentive about immaculate movements, this $70 Flieger is not an option. But man does that workhorse keep good time - I've worn it for a few days, rewound it every 24 hours, and it keeps at +8sec/d.

That’s a nice starting point. If you plan to mod it...

Dial is the most common thing .. perhaps a patina or new dial when if you get bored ... making a new bezel would be fun, cool... but the key imo is having a vision (I like to do photoshop mock ups) and going for it.

Here is a mock up of another project I’m working on.

Yes, they were clearing out glycine watches 1-2 years ago so I got one to customize.

That's a great idea you are having in mind, the deep blue dial and the aged lume make it really pop. Love the lugs as well, they have this certain 70ies appeal to me. I like the Glycine Airman in general, but I was never a big fan of their cluttered dials. That's why I think your idea is so great.

My plan is to reshape the lugs (they are too round and haphazardly boring), add patina and grime to the case, see if I can find a fitting plexi for it, and relume the dial. Also, gold or blued hands, and age those as well. And a raw, aged and riveted strap.

Thanks for the inspiration!

I'm a fan of P#nis... That sounds bad. One of mine runs +1.4 - +1.7. not even my Omega is that accurate and it's a chronometer.
Most of my projects have at least some P#nis parts in them. I do sterilise most of my P#nis dials. I'm not brave like the OP to show my P#nis around like that in public.
