M.
I think you should build complete clone 240 movements. Joking and serious at the same time.
Yoda240โ€™s

Yes, an SF240Y has a nice ring (or tick) about it ... dreaming again!

However I have doubts about how to do the change, provided I needed other parts or gears that I do not how to get. I do not know even if I need more parts or not. We are not speaking about transform a key wind into a stem wind movement, right?
You can convert from key wind and stem wind from alarm to non alarm.
I would buy 3-5 items.

No pressure....๐Ÿ˜‚

I really hope that I can pull this off, it's a long time dream.

I can almost hear that some of you are thinking: "WTF, fix my movements and stuff instead of playing with this!"
The simple answer is that I need to have something in between to feed my fire.

Some progress today, threaded the bridge and created an "oil well" like the one in the 2005 movement, it appears that the threads are 0,7mm. I also reamed and polished the center wheel hole to allow the well known 5 degree angle of the arbor.
I have a few pictures, from the set of taps, the finished bridge, another bridge with a beveled intermediate winding wheel and a movement I have rebuilt completely.

Indeed, I am pretty excited about it myself so far.

A comment on the conversion from KW to SW, the bridge alone will not do it.
You will need (now is the time to scare the crowd):
An intermediate winding wheel, clutch wheel, winding pinion, stem, intermediate winding bridge, the winding pinion coming from underneath the barrel bridge and screws just to name the essential parts, these parts will set you back $500-$800 plus the conversion.

Note that I skipped the hole in the barrel bridge, compare with the finished bridges, and only focused on the repositioned case screw positions and skipped the old case screw positions.
The 2005 was the first time in the history that the hole from the alarm parts were abandoned and I wanted to follow that route.

Pics look great! It you continue to make the bridges, there might not be enough parts in the world left...

Do you use a standard size for the case screws?

I have only had one set of original case screws for SF240, but I am sure that you can find a suitable replacement at any supplier. Note that there are no threads in the bridge, they are in the main plate.
