It's an old LeCoultre caliber 8 which lost its gold case a long time ago.
One of my friends specifically asked for a bicolor steel-bronze cased watch.
As the bezels are bronze it was easier to make this kind of inwards semicircular design
with some round shaped steel cutters. On steel making this with a small conventional lathe
altered to run off 220V instead of 380V is a bit more delicate and difficult.

The test assembly went fine.
The crown-stem needs some blue Loctite, the back glass some naticol
( as bronze will age fast I made the front bezel to accomodate the glass with a sharp snap.
It doesn't move at all, but it can be pressed out from the inside, so the bezel can be easily polished anytime. )
the movement some de-fingerprinting and hand removal of patina which survived
the cleaning machine and of course a tailor made dial.

A 26 year old ATH S1 fly reel which had a frozen roller bearing.
An easy fix after doing some thinking.

Nice job cleaning that up. So... did you use D5 for the bearings?

A nearby hair saloon closed and I salvaged a Sally Saddle chair, the original one with steel parts and leather seat, some restoration needed.

The difference is that I restore everything, with respect to the original and with the maker's way of thinking in mind.
