Practice working on movements with Molnijas (i lost 7 tiny screws that were used to hold the setting lever spring, 1screw for the plates and 2 yoke springs in the process).
In the process, i managed to fix the keyless of my 3601 with Gordon rolex bridges (broken setting lever spring and some lost screws). It seems to run properly when placed dial side facing down but stops when i place it with dial side facing up.

When I work on extra-springy things, I put a piece of ceran wrap over the movement... no more crouching around thinking „I know I heard it bounce somewhere around here“
Those Pilots look nice - what are they?
The problem is i tend not to have so steady hands and sometimes i press the tweezers too hard when picking up small components. The tweezers slip, and the parts go flying into oblivion. Having a soft rubber mat to work on helps as it prevents bounce if the parts land on the mat. Having a very sterile environment would help to but i work from a small storeroom converted into a study and can hardly find the floor....
Please share with pictures if you can, the solution with cling wrap
Oh and those pilots are Athaya cases with hamilton 4992b inside - dials made vintage by bigwave - truely a HF watch

Does the balance wheel seem uneven when it is running?
When the movement has run down, check if the balance wheel seems stable with a toothpick or similar, gently!
It may simply be a service, it may be a damaged pivot and it may be a jewel.
The movement ran smoothly at times. I left it sitting atop a movement holder last night after synchronising the time and getting it to run (shaking it lightly). It ran for over 8 hours and kept time in sync with the 2 hamilton pilots next to it.

Yoda wrote:I decided to sort some parts and ended up with the Angelus parts from many conversions. Sometimes the owner doesn't want the case and I had two empty Lilliput cases myself. So I removed all screws and useable parts and had this idea.
I popped the crystals, removed the clearcoat from the frames and brushed with a pad, polished a little afterwards and fitted a barometer and a themometer in the two single frames from the Lilliput SF240 travel clocks.
I think that I will fit them either in a nice stand or in a board and hang it on the wall, better than throwing away these old parts.

This'll be a great idea! Not just for the hobby but for our mother earth too! Will definitely want to see how the final results of it being displayed!

I meant how you would attach them to a board, do they have screwholes in the back?
Oh, I see. I will simply friction fit them and if needed I will use a thin rubber strap to keep them in place.
I get it - nice! Will make a fun little project...
I have some pretty large mangrove roots in the cellar, one of them would make a good stand for these two, as if they grew on it...

I bet this would give a surrealistic vibe as well... sounds great!

Great tip on the plastic wrap! I am going to use it.
I have tried to use a cardboard box to contain flying parts. It was a fail. Not enough room to move.

Cutting, filing and polishing off the rough edges from a brass strip to make a 'movement holder' for my 4992b Athaya pilots....

It works especially well when you’re inserting the clickspring or parts of the keyless... place the parts into the approximate position and lay over the foil. Then you can manipulate them from the top. A beginners trick I learned at a watchmaking class from a watchmaker that was tired of students sweeping his floor on all fours
