I decided to keep mine simple. I was thinking about putting in a rare small ligne 8 day manual wind movement a member had for sale here a while back, but decided not to for now.

That looks fantastic, exactly what I’m going for! Really nice work on the dial!

I was a bit skeptical about buying one, you never know what’s going to show up when ordering from a new company, but that really looks well made.
I hope they make another version in steel or titanium.

The 60mm Steeldive version has been tempting, but I’m pretty sure anything larger than 47mm is more than my wrist will put up with. Still, the one that Kp0y has up for sale is incredibly cool.

It’s a Belkin dial. He’s a master. I think most of these micro Chinese brands from SteelDive to San Martin to Baltany are making solid watches for the price.

KpOy builds are also top notch.

Just arrived, Dr. Phil’s Last Damascus roller buckle. I’ve been wanting one of these for ages, but he’s stopped making them so they are practically impossible to get. I’m still on the hunt for one of his Angelus buckles.

Hypnogagia wrote: August 6th, 2023, 2:06 pm It’s pretty much the same assembly as the 6497 under the bridges, just slightly smaller. The finishing is standard Swiss which is nice, but I wish it had ANY decoration or creativity. I’ve got a spare one, I should find one of those excellent engravers in Bulgaria or Ukraine to do something beautiful.
IMO, the finish is quite basic since this movement seems to be built on a 7733/773x chrono base plate. (Valjoux Reemploying leftovers?)

I've sent the photo to a friend specialist in 773x, he told me he has never heard about a 7739 before.
So this 7739 is rare.

Yeah, it’s an odd one for sure! I checked on ranfft.de when I got it and they don’t have it listed.

Speaking of, it looks like ranfft.de is down. Crap I hope it’s not gone!

 I've checked on Ranfft too, even on 7730 page to see if 7739 would appear as a variant.
Nothing.
Ranfft was working fine 2-3 days ago.
It would be interesting to know the production year:
7733 and his variants has been produced on a short period: 1969-1978, Valjoux having introduced the 7750 from 1974/1975,
Vulcain has probaly used leftovers main plates.

Aw man, sad news. It looks like Dr. Ranfft died earlier this year. I added a post in general, some of the users at Watchuseek are working on re-launching the database
