I remember him listing a gen 217 dial a while back. He certainly has access to a remarkable variety of parts.

so a couple things stand out at to .. NOPE
1. the crown guard lever pin (as seen from the top) .. it just completely 3rd rate replica ... there are 1st class Replica crown guards that are way way better than that
2. the lug bars ... one screws in one direction, the other screws into the other direction? ... I've never seen that???
3. the movement rings looks complete like canal street crap
4. I would need more provenance ... if you are selling this thing as GEN .. provide a model number, photos, etc
this is just my observation .. I am no expert ... except after a few drinks

be careful with 127/217 case sets .. there are very very good Replica versions .. I have a very nice REP 217 here myself
If I were to come across a GEN 127/217 I would not attempt to purchase it unless it has full papers and COSC certificate matching movement number, etc ... then .. I would only purchase a GEN 127, since it's much harder to replicate

Good advice TimemiT - I almost posted pictures of it at the time as it might have formed a good base for a build (but expensive) and I was interested to see the back of the dial.

Overall shape of case is poor.
The placement of crown in CG is wrong (looking from the side).
A 1950 type 44mm case should have quick realease lug bars (inserted in same direction, naturally).

Vanni is a reputable guy (I have bought parts from him in the past) .. he doesn't list often on Ebay. I would trust anything that he sells, I have not seen anyone have an issue with him.

I too can vouch for Vanni.
A real professional fellow and a pleasure to work with.
