I called him out on the case, then reported to eBay as not a NW case.... suggest we all do the same.

I generally only report the nazi stuff and the nasty fakes like those garbage stamped brass omega “made in swit zerland” pocket watches. Sometimes eBay is a lot like one of those claw machines.

Each to their own, but this person offered to show me historic receipts from NW....I then pointed out the movement holder which is the main giveaway that this is not a NW case....they lied to me.. so they get reported.

@geoffdragon - I agree completely, sellers making false claims in auctions should be reported and taken down. It’s really frustrating to buy something that does not live up to the description.

That said, I’ve never held a Nightwatch case in my hands. I wouldn’t feel comfortable reporting someone when I don’t actually know the difference between these particular apples and oranges. Most of the cases I’ve used are the ones available on eBay, and even with a lot of work those aren’t up to my standards. Honestly. The only case I’ve ever built with that really seemed to be excellent quality is the bronze 47 submersible from River.

Anyway, my apologies if I rubbed you the wrong way with that, no offense was meant. I’m still a bit of a noob at modding/building. That said, this thread has me once again wanting a good quality stainless steel case.

This one is different, an Angelus SF240sc key wind, no alarm, incastar. The price seems way up there, but an interesting movement.

It's a non alarm incabloc/incastar, most likely from sometime between 1948 and 1956.
