@Tanukjaju
Thank you for the compliment.
2824 Swiss.
With vintage genuine oyster cases like 1002, 1003, 1005, 5500 and 6294 it is plug and play with a couple of simple tricks but nothing major.
And I must tell you with gen cases it is a world of difference.
15000 cases you can use DG’s for a straight fit. I am working in one now.

I agree with you on these older cases. I have a Franken Tudor with a fantasy dial in a 37mm jumbo case. It’s ended up being one of my favorite builds quite unexpectedly because the case is special.
I’m thinking of getting the dial redone with a gilt dial one day soon.

Imho this post should be pinned at the frontispiece.
These dials are the top of the game and a delight for any connoisseur.
In a sterile aftermarket with few or no improvements in 20 years this is what I consider filling a huge gap with accurate pieces ranging from vintage oyster to maledetto italiano…
@Fizzzz, hats off again and I hope your efforts will see some limelight soon…
Lets cheer up with a summer Fizzz.

I'm not sure this post need to be pinned,
main purpose was to tell the long way to get there.
Yet, a topic for Gilt dials would be cool.
