Even more puzzling is the engraving in the upper left corner stating that it won an award at the World Exposition of 1878...

It is a regular engravings. Many different movements have something like that. It is not related to movement itself, it is about company.

this movement disappeared from eBay auction day before it should finish some how )) super rare chance to see in real how original 618 looks inside )) would be interesting to see how the bridges look from back side )) this is amazingly rare movement, congrats!!!

They can be found mostly in Favre Leuba pocket watches , 618 or 616 with rlx bridges and they are not branded ;)

Incredible find! I had always wondered how come that all the cort 618 movement's I'd seen before had brass bridges.Now I finally see the "proper" version. May I ask in what pocket watch was the movement?

You can find that kind of 616 in Favre-Leuba watches.
