Whats special about this forum to me, is the 'maker spirit' of the members here... And then the commitment to the 'old school way', be it embodied by repurposing vintage movements, or by adhereing to traditional methods in strap making, case construction... The homage watches then become more gen than the genuine modern interpretation or reeditions released by brand owners who are constrainted by their pursuit of profit over dedication to art...

On the old HF we were bouncing around ideas related to making a forum watch and someone made the following design, which I obviously liked enough that I kept the picture all these years but for the life of me can't remember who the designer was.

Whoever designed it please take credit for it but I think this would make a unique base for our watch.

Oh boy, that definitely wasn't me. I'm not allowed to use pencils. Far too sharp. I could hurt myself.

I'm a CAD kinda guy. I went back in my files and I found this. I think it was from the same thread. I didn't draw this, but it did impress me.

Trying to figure out who drew this tonight.

Found this thread.....

This might be the work of Neckyzips?

This is just a mock-up: (the lugs and the crown are not of my liking. They can be changed anytime)
