OMEGA Seamaster that was produced in 1967.

In this case Omega fitted a small batch of spare Speedmaster casebacks onto Seamasters without much thought, at a time when these things seemed to matter much less.

No, Omega confirmed that this watch was part of a small batch of Seamasters produced in 1967 that had Speedmaster stamped on the outside of the caseback, but with the correct reference number, 165.024, printed on the inside.

Ok that is rare one then,with top brands mistakes like these increase their values in Auctions! While on smaller brands are rejects!

but easy mistake too: this typo is still current in French language nowadays...
What's the point in doubling letters that one can't ear? most probably a reminder from ancient Greek or Latin.

Thus said, I find it normal that the brands are outsourcing components (each component being a speciality)
but absolutely no excuse for failing in their QC duty.
