My sister passed this spring, a colleague hanged himself not long ago.

It can't get much worse, can it?

Apparently....yesterday I received a telephone call from Denmark, my sister's eldest daughter (45) suffered from a double sided brain bleeding and had a surgery earlier today..
I am her godfather and this is among the worst I have ever experienced.
She is special to me, always has been.
I have carried her when she was a few days old, nursed her, taken her to concerts, movies, taught her things, listened to her when a boyfriend disappeared, shared my house with her when her mother and father were a pain in the ass (could have been the other way around) and so on.

I worry about her.

I wish I could make it or even that I could say that it will be...but here's hoping for 2019 being much better!

Couldn't agree more on the 2018,Michael,counting hours untill it's finally gone. I'm so sorry to hear for your neice,I hope the surgery goes well and she will have a full recovery.
