Oh yeah, stay away from that guy! He was banned from the old HF.
It took me more than a year to clean up some of his crap.
I have never met anyone who could let out so much hot air as he could, a real fartbag.
He was interviewed once by some magazine and I wrote the editor, after that they cut him loose.
To me, a low life pile of shit, I would not touch him with a ten foot stick, unless I wanted to kill him.

Long version or short version?

Short version:
He was a prolific poster on HF...went from a member to a sponsor (means he sold stuff) to being banned. Early on, I’ve met him and his significant other - I will leave personal details out but I will say he’s great at creating a following with lifestyle blogs and photography.

I don’t remember the details exactly but some infractions included selling crap built watches with multitude of issues. @neckyzips helped fix some of these in the past - I’ll let him talk to that.

He also sold stuff that he said was hand made by him that’s also mass produced (possibly in China - my speculation from hear say).

It takes a lot to be banned Fromm HF v1. And he managed to work his way there. His basic ammo was if you don’t support me with issue x, I’ll leave your forum. Hixxy was always about forum members first and not big egos like that. The other forums at that point caved to his demands but at that point when he was banned, I stopped having to deal with him short of helping sort out his poorly made builds.

My personal opinion, stay away from his stuff as his motives are more selfish than anything. Ask anyone who has had to clean his shit up and I think they will agree.

Believe it or not, this is the short version

My one and only dispute on HF was with him, he attempted to intimidate me into rolling over by claiming he could have me thrown off the forum, and/or blacklist me with prominent members. When that didn't work he bounced the refund while claiming to have $10k+ in his PP account after I told him it bounced.

He also used to love to take credit for other peoples work. I saw him take credit on IG for designing buckles made by Mad Dog straps and erase any posts mentioning Mad Dog. He even played off making a bar from Restoration Hardware that he featured prominently.

Dude seems to have some $$$. I wonder how he earned it though given how unstable he is to do business with 1:1, at least if you don't have something he wants.

He then changed his online name to something something Button and opened an online store.

Apparently a "bespoke" creator... Only good to take credit for other's work.

The only thing he was "good" at was photography. So the botched builds he put together looked alright.

ALL OF HIS NAMES:
Mitchell Moore, Taylor Moore and Mitchell Button.

Oh, and now that we are talking about him ...

The only strap I bought from him was of the most basic craftsmanship but sold at top quality price.

In addition, it was full of cuts because he thought it was "cool" and vintage looking when I didn't ask for that.

And of course, he was the only (almost) one on the old forum who had to write his nickname ALL CAPS on ...

I can't add anything, it's all been said. Steer clear of this guy.
