I made a decision.....

I think the minichat is rolling way too fast, I haven't got the faintest idea of what went on just a few minutes ago.
My browser is showing a "We use cookies to...", it's still there after I have pressed "Got it" a zillion times and it's just an annoying experience for me as a moderator.
So, I hereby resign.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to be a moderator, sorry to admit that it is nothing I can do the way I would like it to be done.

I think the cookie thing may be a problem with IE11 vs. the H-F server. Specifically the way the Set Cookie command is formulated. I was reading about what sounds like a similar issue and possibly removing the domain from the command could be helpful...

About the minichat, you can check the archived messages here
app.php/mchat/archive
there's a button below the chat that says "archive"

It works alright on my Edge browser. There is no cookies pop up after hitting the OK button AND logging in with the "remember me" option enabled.
It seems Michael might have edited his browser options to act this way ? (something like, "no, Windows, I don't want to be followed, thanks")

Right. But Edge and IE11 are not the same, as you most likely know.
Yoda: have you edited your browser as suggested by Emilio? Maybe you can add an exception for H-F?

I have not changed anything, my browser is a virgin.
I didn't know about the archive feature either, wasn't observant enough to notice it.

I thought that IE automatically updated itself to Edge... my bad

Apparently not. Can you try to make the change I suggested? Yoda might not be the only one using IE11. Then again, it might not help but it won't hurt.

Edge is a W10 thing, I resisted upgrading from W7 Ultimate as I detest the W10 edition, mostly for its ugly retro look.
I liked W XP and stuck with it until EOL 2014, I will stick with W7 until its EOL.
