I’ll keep the story short....found this today. It’s amazing. I won’t know if it will make good straps until I dissect it and check the health of the leather.

If it’s solid this is going to make some amazing straps

I would keep the bag as is, oil it and use it! It's beautiful and with initials, it has a story! Please don't kill it!

I struggle with it as well M, but I know this will sit in my basement unused and become powder.

I see it as a re-purposing of history. This bag was destine for the trash until I saved it, now it will have renewed life with people that can enjoy a piece of history on their wrists for years to come.
