Hello from a newb

I am a total newbie when it comes to watch building and mods. I am not looking so much to learn how to build or mod watches, but to learn more about how they are constructed and various quality differences across models. A member at another forum referred me here.
I tend to read a lot more than I post. Hopefully I'll have something to contribute along the way.
