the combination is great. Maybe with light orange numbers on the bezel?

Seiko has a hand in creating cool looking variants.
They started with this black series 2 years ago and the watches gained quite a bit in value....

I have a whole list of suggestions
How about a black date disc or no date at all and no X on the dial.
