Hello gents,

The new forum is up and running and I found it cool to present myself once again like other members did.

My interest in watches sparkled when I was a kid, my father gave me a manual winding Hamilton as a present. It was maybe a little too elegant for a 10 years old kid but I was immediately fascinated. I still have that watch.

Fast forward a few years, after the teenager phase made of Swatches and G-Shocks, I found myself with two kids, a wife and a house. During the sleepless night I spent with my second born I found out about the rep fora.
From there it was all like a rollercoaster, and finally while exploring modern brands I found out about the Panerai history.

The first vintage build I bought from black_shark. It was beautiful, but I had already developed an eye for detail (or better a slight OCD ;)) and there was always one detail I would have liked to be made different. The obvious consequence was deciding to make my own builds and this lead me to HF, where I could learn from real wizards. I devoured all build threads I could find and started building like crazy :)

In time I'll be posting all my builds here as well, postimg has changed domain and now all links to my old pics are broken so I have to update all the threads I had saved :(
It will be a chance to go through my footsteps once again, hopefully there will be someone who will find them helpful and/or interesting.

I am extremely grateful I found this hobby, I could meet some crazy talented members and got to work with some of them to make my dream watches come true. Thanks to all of you, and especially to the moderator team who made this new platform happen.

Long live HF!

Thanks for sharing your story.

If the old images are hosted on Photobucket, people can install the browser extensions to fix it :)
