Do you remember your first watch?

My first watch was a Timex hand-wind kid's or women's watch. It was simple a white dial and blue strap. It was a gift, maybe a 6th or 7th birthday.
My brother got a set of kid's toy golf clubs, the kind that had a plastic ball with holes in it. We were in the front yard, andas he swung, someone musta warned me, because I put my arm up and that timex took the hit. Put a crack in the dome from 9 to 6.
I was upset because my watch was cracked.
Mom was upset because my brother almost cracked me over the head with a golf club.
My brother was upset because his golf club was bent in half.
This scene was proof of Timex's moto at the time:
Timex, takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.
Somewhere, I'm pretty sure I still have that watch. Might need a service, it is around 40 years old. Never replaced the crystal.

Man you have a good memory. All I remember of my first watch is that it was some kind of Russian watch, no idea what brand it was, that would fog up when I sweated and it rusted, as I recall. Don't remember how I lost it/got rid of it.

A Casio wave ceptor. A radio controlled watch? That's alien technology!

I suspect the memory has to do with almost taking a club to the head. I kept that watch in a trinket box for decades. I moved it out, and it's now misplaced. Should still be around I hope. If I find it, I will have it serviced. lol.
That LED is cool.

Guys....I am am old dog and the memory is a little rusty. No I cannot remember my first watch - Dad gave it to me and it was in a long clear plastic box.
BUT...I remember my second watch. We were living in Singapore (where I did my primary education) and we went to a shop and Dad bought a Seiko M55 Sealion and I bought (with my own years of saving) an Enicar Ocean Pearl Date watch on steel bracelet with AR1125 movement - beautiful but it was stolen when I was in my 30's. Hence my love of Enciar. I remember getting it serviced and no one in Australia had seen or heard of Enciar, it was a gold tone movement with ruby rotor - well synthetic rubies. Memories
Thanks for starting the topic.

Cool story. Dad gets a Seiko, and son buys a Swiss diver? Wow. Sorry that it got stolen. Since then, have you purchased a similar one?
It's funny though, because of that first Timex taking a licking, Timex was my choice for my kid's first real watch.
