From recent inspiration of [mention]kilowattore[/mention] and parts list from [mention]hako[/mention], below is the early stages of a summer build. I want it to be vintage 62mas style with color (I have too many black dial watches).

I cannot decide on a dial. What are your thoughts between blue vs white? I am leaning towards white.

I am not 100% sure on the bezel insert. However, I would have preferred light blue and white bakelite.

Do you think this build will even look good? or look mismatched and out of place?

I also found this bezel insert. The aluminum might go better with the case. I kind of like it without the orange. and this is really what the look I am going for

I could imagine a similar Bakelite insert from Odokadolo to it
Did you already decide where to source the case?

Check out [mention]odokadolo[/mention] he works with dials and inserts in bakelite like plastic

I would go with the light blue doxa dial except I am not 100% on the neon orange minute hand. I think a lighter orange would look better. Light blue and orange insert look great but would probably be a better match for white dial imho.
Odokadolo is a great lead, the work he showed here is impressive.
