A big hello from Germany

Hi guys,
I‘m a „Super Lost Sheep“ from the original HF forum, which I joined in October 2013.
Having spent some time with the likes of Breitling, Blancpain, Rolex, Fortis and Sinn, I finally found my love with the diver watches of Panerai.
It was probably the dials and the crownguard which attracted me at first, but getting more into the history and details of these watches, I found everything from the cases and casebacks to the hands and dials very capturing.
And last but not least, the Angelus 240 came to the centre of my attention.
But with all these „attractions“ my focus switched from the modern Panerais to the historic timepieces, especially the left-hand versions, called „Destro“, hence my forum handle.
The fact that owning a gen historic Panerai was clearly not going to happen, my internet search brought me to the HF forum, which provided seemingly endless information and so much detail on these watches.
And even more, it offered the possibility to learn how to get a watch assembled that would look (nearly) identical to a gen historic Panerai, which I still find amazing.
The level of knowledge about even the tiniest detail this forum provided was unbelievable.
Members would freely share their knowledge and would help and support the „newbies“.
And after a while you really had a gen like historic Panerai on your wrist.
The biggest experience with this new hobby was to learn what „patience“ really means.
Working with timepieces requires „time“.
And while I‘m still not clear about the future of the old HF forum, I‘m happy to be part of this community here as well.
Looking forward to more conversations about the homage world.
G‘day to all old and new HF / H-F members.
