Ok, I haven't seen everything . . .

So . . .
I have been around for a . . . significant . . . chunk of a century, seen some things, done some things.
I think, "ha, I've pretty much seen it".
Wrong.
Called a Canadian dealer this morning about a watch (reverso) that's been sitting in his collection for a while. Described how the bracelet was likely no good to me, with my 9 1/2s. He measured it and agreed the bracelet was no good to me and I asked if we could make a head only deal.
"No, I won't sell it to you, it's too small for you."
Me: "Uhhh, I know it's 25 or 26mm along the short side but it's something like 45 along the long side."
"That's right, too small for you. If you can come in, I have a nice collection for you to look at."
Me: "Ok then, thank you . . ."
"You have a great day."
