I have had a few mechanical chronographs over the years, and I like them, but when I think I might need to use the chrono, I tend to strap on a Swatch.
Does anyone else have situations where quartz, or digital, suits them better?

Never rule out a Seiko GS! I once happened to be able to repair a Seiko GS which Seiko Japan couldn't repair because they were out of parts.
