Agreed! NEW Seamaster & Speedmaster prices have surge in recent years! Definately like to own a few of them but is way out of my budgets 
. And the New 2018 "Dark Side Of The Moon" with engraved movement will definately price above USD 10k, easily!

Last year, I had the pleasure of meeting a collector who owned one of those limited edition gold Speedmasters made to commemorate the moon landing. Beautiful watch, and worth more than I would be able to pay.

I dont like gold on watches!
Gold is a very soft material that should not be put on watches!In the old days maybe but with today metals
there is so much better quality and durability then gold!
Then again its the obvious,take a 500 euro cost watch make a gold case ,easy $20.000 sale !!!
For me there is nothing like Titanium or Rodium hardened steel!
