Was in Hong Kong last week and went to 9Maiali. No interesting watches there in person to speak of, but picked up three MP straps:

PAV91, PAV98 and a more vintage 24 with a pointy tip and knife edge buckle.

Interesting to compare it to a First gen MP which I picked up second hand in 2010, so it must be 15 years old at least.
Buckle is the same, but the leather on the older one is much thicker. His leather ages really well, has darkened and aged, but keeps on going. I’ve re-stitched it twice.

New on gen PAM233, old on rep PAM312. Interesting to compare case and CG quality, it is actually really good in these older 1950 cases, no obvious tells that a bit of wear won’t cover.

9Maiali is much cheaper in person than on their website. All straps 1000 HKD. Much cheaper than the US seller.

Nice report. How about the 2nd hand watches? Cheaper in person as well? Their PreVs and PreAs are prohibitively priced online.

Didn’t even ask, only had one of the new multi coloured ones and other cheap brands. I think the owner does the high value sales and he wasn’t there.

It was a quick visit passing through, only had an afternoon, so didn’t have much time for serious window shopping. Went past Vintage Concept, that’s what you call prohibitively priced…
