Hello from little Norway

Hello from little Norway.

My addiction started for 3 decades ago with my first Citizen promaster aqualand. After that it just took off with cheap gens and to many not so gen.
I tried to mend all the ones that broke down along the way without any luck, parts piled up as scrap .
Then I bought a better watch, and along the way my taste turned to more clean dials like Iwc & pams.
The impressive skills I have seen on this forum is beyond cool.
My goal and hope is building my own, and enjoy the ride along the way.

Cheers from a humble noob

when I stumbled over this forum after some seracing for some picturesof the gen P021 I was hooked
The mods some of you here have done is just amazing.
and for me this forum is perfect and full of good posts I can learn from.

After consistently surfing posts here the last days i think i know what i want to start with.
Is it stupid to get right on with Ephry73`s 3646 Dor F cases with a Cortebert or a similar engine installed :) ?

Welcome aboard! "Little Norway" is an understatement, Norway is great in many ways.

Oh man, I had a Citizen Aqualand, it was, and still is, a really nice watch!

Me, I steared towards mechanical watches and that's where I am now.
Still, I have had many owners with quartz watches and I have grown to understand these, and respect them for what they are.

My only thought against quartz is, that I would rather not be out in the nowhere with a dead quartz watch on my wrist and no batteries in sight.....
