help needed

Post by g3rald »

hi all ,

i got a Rep during a trade and it seems like dial down it stops running . dial up is fine and other positions is does slows down leading to low amptitude problem.

some fb frens had commented is broken / crooked balance shaft or broken jewel.
i dissembled reinstall and still persists which leads me to understand its beyond me .

1) any watchmaker in sg tat is priced reasonably tat does rep repairs?
2) any has donor or spare 6497 /6498 ( has sec hand) to sell?
3) source for balance wheel part?

the solutions has to be rather low costs as its a low valued item from the trade .
thank u

Check impulse pin and balance roller plate, if it is positioned too low or not fitted properly, it could cause to "scratch" pallet fork and slow down... Also check fork vertical clearance...

agree, check that too... Finally, shockprotection spring could be misfitted too...
